control arm bushing removal
I removed the bushings on my control arms, first trying to press them out that did'nt work. I had to heat the control arms with a torch to get them out. After the fact now I'm wondering if this could have ruined the control arm strength?

A lot of this would depend on how hot you heated them. If you "burned" them out, then yes possibly, if you just heated them up, then I wouldnt think so. Either way, keep an eye on the eyelets after installation to make sure.

Are we talking about the upper A arm bushings?
The way I got mine out was to drill out what was left of the rubber then saw through the metal shells and use a chisel to peel 'em out.
You'd have to get pretty darn hot to affect the metallurgy of the arms. If they were glowing, then you definitely have a problem!
