Pulled the motor today along with my wheel problems I was busy today. Here are some pictures of the pull. Nothing unusual just a routine pull.

We got a new digital camera this year for Xmas so I am taking lots of pictures. They are huge so I might put in a huge one now and then. I will resize if I do. I took about 20 today. One I did mis was the coolant pouring out when I first picked up the motor. I always forget to drain the motor.
its nice to pull out an engine and not get dirty. i cant wait for my son to grow a little older. right now at 6yrs old his favorite tool is the HAMMER. the vette is on the lift up in the air. doing van steel suspension right now. will be posting pics soon. good luck with this engine project.

Good work.
It looks like u left the tranny in the car? Was that easier as most manuals say to pull with the trans too?
Sorry but i missed why ur pulling the eng? But i did see that #20 cast under the timing cover showing a 2% hi nickle block - longer wear/better block.
Hope u get it together for racing season.
I did pull the trans last week. I had to get the flywheel over to the machine shop so they could balance the crank and assembly. I did not have my hoist last week so I just left the engine in. I have pulled and installed it before with the engine and bellhousing without removing the hood also, but with the trans the hood has to come off. There was plenty of room coming out with just the motor.
As far as my garage beng clean it does look pretty clean in these pictures. I try to keep it clean and a lot of stuff is in my shed but the pictures are a little off. It is not that clean, right now there are parts everywhere but I try to keep the organized.
I'm building a forged 383 bottom end using my AFR heads and a pretty big solid cam. Should be over 500HP when done. I should be getting everything back by the beginning of February. Plus I have the wheel issue to deal with. Hopefully by late spring I will be back on the road and to the strip.
As far as supporting the car yes there is a 6X6 and a 2x4 on that holding it up in the front.

I've done it both ways. With a leveling beam you have to get a very extream angle to get the combo in/out. I think it's safer to pull/install the engine with out the trans.
You seem to have your sh*t together so I willask you this question.
I am pulling my 327 out for the first time and have not done it in a while (long while). I do have an buddie coaching me and coming next weekend for the pull. I have been disconecting everything and marking and did take hood off.
Is there any tips you can give a rook ?
Thanks!
