I've been toying with the idea of placing a set of red Grand Sport stripes on the fenders of my Corvette, along with a set of red die-cut Corvette letters (made for C5's) in place of my rear metal Corvette badge. I've been playing around on a photo editing program, and it seems to look very nice, but I'm curious if any of you have tried this to your Corvette, and if so do you have any pictures?
Very nice. I remember seeing your car with the C5 lettering a while back. I think that is where I initially got the idea. I noticed Ecklers and Mid America have two versions of these letters. Are yours the die-cut letters or the thinner stick-on letters?
If you have a stripe that goes from the windshield to the front bumber it makes the front end look LONNNNGGGG but looks great with the admiral blue with white stripe
personaly I would have a white stripe from the arch in the hood to the back of the car and the red GS sticker/logo I like
I was lurking around on the C5 forum to see what ideas some of the members had on their Corvettes. I came across a set of letters, made by a company called Reflective Concepts www.reflectiveconcepts.com. The letters are available in many colors, but at night, when the light hits them, they illuminate and look like a part of the lighting system of the car (sort of like the lit Pontiac letters on the Sunfire). After looking at a few pictures, they look very cool.
As far as the stripes go, I was talking about a set of red fender stripes like the Grand Sport Corvettes have. I was also thinking about running a Pewter sripe all the way down the hood, but I too thought it would make the car look too long.
