I would like to see how many Custom Corvette's we have ! Please post pic's and list of MODS :cool: This should be interesting :D

I think I qualify on the custom status, but the car is heavy into the ugly stage. To avoid too many replies with the little guy :U his lunch, I'll pass on the pics and just list a few:
GM Performance ZZ502, Bowtie Overdrives 700R4, March aluminum pulleys, Griffin Aluminum radiator, Spal dual electric fans, MSD AL6 and MSD Pro Billet Tach drive distributor, Stahl side out headers, 69 style fiberglass exhaust covers w/ dual Moroso spiral flows, L-88 drop base air cleaner, Carter electric fuel pump.
ZL-1 Flares on all four corners, L-88 hood w/air chamber, rear exhaust filler panel, custom (homemade) front spoiler, LeMans style gas filler. Fixed headlights with bubble glass covers purchased but not installed yet. Car is currently stripped and in line for custom paint job with American Flag theme.
Still to go, suspension and trailing arms, TT-D wheels, etc.

I like to think of mine as 'modified' rather than 'custom'. Semantics I guess, but 'custom' brings images of the Corvette Summer car to mind.
Anyway:
650hp SBC427 with tall-deck Rocket Block, custom Hogan's aluminum sheetmetal manifold, SpeedPro Sequential EFI with Wide BAnd O2 and Individual cylinder fual and timing control. All fuel lines are Aeroquip s.s braided hose. Full VB&P Performance Plus front and rear suspension, offset trailing arms, HAL/QA1 12 point adjustable shocks on all 4. Tremec TKO 5speed OD transmission with custom made billet aluminum shifter, custom Denny's aluminum driveshaft, 3.55 rear gears, '69 chrome sidepipes. 1000watt stereo. Autometer Ultralight gauges/tach/speedo.
Other than the sidepipes and gauges/stereo, the exterior and interior is completely new and restored to look stock. All stock on the outside, all business underneath.

I certainly wouldn't far well at an NCRS judging event, is an understatement.
I wouldn't call mine custom or modified. functional is more the word for it. From the showroom floor the car had low power with a L-82 motor, the car weighs to much, and was unsafe to drive outside of getting groceries.
So everything I ever did was to make it more functional.
4.11 gears,700R4 and a 383 ci small block.

Well, here's mine, and my first post since the upgrade - hope it works. I don't know if it's a custom - but it does have a lil in the way of modifications. :lol:

This is why this forum rocks: full of modifieds and customs and most that do both. Look at the people and the cars we get to hang out with, have you met a better group of people anywhere? I didn't think so.

I no longer have the original factory supplied air in my tires...so I guess I'm custom/modified/restified now :D

Well, my car appears stock on the outside, but under the hood there has been a little work.;)
Yanked the 165 hp L48 350, stuffed in a 74 454, Edelbrock Torker II, Performer carb, Performer Cam and Lifter Kit, drop base open air cleaner, MSD HEI, MSD wires, Hooker Super Comp Jet Hot coated headers, true 2 1/2" duals with stainless mufflers, Flex-A-Lite dual fans, Carter hi flow fuel pump, Energy Suspension locking polyurethane motor mounts, 4 core radiator, rebuilt Super T-10, 3.55 pos, Kenwood Stereo with Bose speakersi.
