I am not sure what I should set my initial and total timming to. I am running a 350, 10.7+ : 1 compression, comp 274H, well ported double humps with 202/160s, ported RPM Air Gap, 650 Speed Demon, and hooker sidepipes. Right now my timming is at 11 inital and 34 total. How do I know how much I can give it.
Also I bought a distributor advance kit from mallory. I can set my timming up to increase with rpm through out the entire range or have it step up from idle to a desired rpm and max out at total timming from that point on (this is the normal method). Any suggestions... remember I have high compression.

34 to 36 total will get you best power and torque, so you're right where you need to be. If you're not getting any detonation, leave it where it is or bump it to 36. If you can shorten the curve and get 16 to 18 initial, you'll get a better idle and better off-idle throttle response, but leave the total at 34-36.
