I have the Keisler tranny in my car and have had no problems with the tranny. I installed it in my garage with some help from my son to lift it into place. Works great and transforms the car into a long legged cruiser.
Gary, It requires more force but it's not so much that I would say don't do it. The benefits of the .68 Overdrive has made my 3:70d rear into a Interstate cruiser... Dave..
I have the TKO500 with the tremec shifter, not keisler and it shifts much better than my Munice ever did. With the internal linkage it feels more precise and has just the right effort.

Any chance of posting a picture of how a stock (real) Tremec looks installed in the console.
How does the shift feel compared to a Munice or St-10?
A Keisler modified TKO will have a stiff feel for the first 500 - 1,000 miles and then it will lighten up. We make some internal changes that make them tighter when first used, but quieter and even longer lived than a stock TKO one they are broken in.
The only scarey part comes from old habits...I still turn my head over my shoulder to check behind me, put it in gear and lay rubber going forward because I forget that reverse is "over and back" instead of where 1st is...
Here's how mine lined up with the holes in the body and console. It's exactly in the stock location.
