Default 1969 L-88 question???

Was Air Conditioning available as a factory option on a 1969 L-88 with a manual transmission?

According to Dobbins (68-72 Fact Book) RPO C60 Air Conditioning was NOT available with L88 or L71/L89 (435HP).

Excuse my mechanical ignorance but what is the unit connected to the upper right front of this motor with the hoses coming out of it? Im just starting to learn.

Yes, air conditioning was available. It was called 2-70 air conditioning, 2 windows down at 70 mph!:D

All '68 & '69 motors had smog pumps from the factory.
