I just recieved the last body panel today from Ecklers. I will begin puting the the front clip back together soon, and I will be using "Lord" product #127EZ/128EZ Fusor Plastic Structural Installation Adhesive (Slow-Set) This meets the gm spec for SMC fiberglass bonding.
Has anyone used this product? Does anyone have any advice about body panel installation. I have read the assembly manual, and the book from GLAS-RA. I was thinking about using some 3M products. The boys at the local Chevy body shop made some recomendations that I checked into, The adhesive 3M #08116 was about $50 for ten oz, but the special applicator gun was around $349. The local "Lord" dealer had the GM spec adhesive for $37 for 10oz. I bought three tubes, and he threw in the applicator gun for free.
If you are going to use this to bond panels, be aware that some of these products are not compatible with body fillers, primers and top-coats. We don't use them where visible joints or seams will show. Please fully read all applicable literature before using this type of adhesive.

Thanks Big G.
I was going to order the "Lord" product #302 & 322 epoxy that Ecklers sells in quart cans (the industrial size) it met the GM spec for SMC fiberglass. Lord Product # 127 meets the same spec, but is in a tube dispenser. When I called Lord's tech support they recomended the #127
What Would you Recomend?
We sell and I have used Fusor 127 on many occations. It's a great product and gives plenty of work time. If you use it, see if you can borrow an air gun to get it out of the tube - much easier. also you can squirt it on card board and mix it with a spreader.
I'll try to stop buy when I get a chance. I had stoped buy on X-mass Eve while on a parts run for to the Napa Store for some steel fuel tubeing I didn't think anyone would be there. I had just seen the sign out front. I didn't know that was your Shop. I should have checked your profile. Oops.
