Are these the votec heads to buy? Are they ok?

At 67cc ... the summit vortecs aren't real GM ... and neither are these

but you can assemble those for a lot less than summit ... you can buy a kit (for 2 heads) with valves, springs, retainers, locks & studs for under $175.

Not intent on the vortec's just everyone is saying the hp is better than even the 202 heads. I would rather stay with something i could use my same intake with.

theres lots of choice for your original style intake.....the vortec heads are good but so are lots of heads.

If I dont go with the vortec i think i should go with the 202 valves but what cc on the intake runner 180, 190, 200 Or what? Also what does cnc ported mean?

I'd recommend no more than 190cc intake runners unless you are going larger than 355ci. My understanding is that CNC is a type of machine that performs controlled porting of the combustion chamber and associated areas.

I believe CNC machines can also be used to take the unfiinished casting and bring to a finished, machined state.

Thanks am going with the stock L82 on bootem end. So I will look at the 190cc
