Default Question On Intakes

I'm Looking For An Aftermarket Intake For My 75 350 That Is The Same Height As Original. I Will Be Using An Edelbrock Carb. Any Ideas?

You have some options...you could go with the standard Edelbrock performer, which is decent. I'm running a Weiand Action plus, which works pretty good with the cam I have. If you are planning on upgrading the engine, I'd look at the Weiand stealth, which is a very good compromise between a dual plane and a single plane intake. I think you're edelbrock carb will bolt to that if I remember correctly.

All the intakes mentioned will allow you to run the stock air cleaner. My 72 has even less clearance then the 75 if I remember correctly, and they all work on my car. Also, if you are interested in single plane intakes, those will work too. Edelbrock Torker II and the Weiand X-CELerator come to mind.
Matching an intake to the cam you are running (or are going to run if you plan on rebuilding) is a good idea. I'd check into that before buying.

Which edelbrock carb? 14xx series is squarebore clone of Carter AFB ... 19xx series is spreadbore clone of OE Qjet. Only a few intakes accept both patterns.

your original manifold is pretty good.....if you want a performance upgrade spend your money on exhaust or an ignition upgrade....a new manifold may loo pretty but i doubt you will feel any improvements.....and as a disclosure i have a performer intake on my vette

Thanks,, The Original Carb Went South, So I Replaced It With An Edelbrock. That Requires A Spacer And It Looks Like It Will Be Close With The Air Cleaner. I Thought Another Manifold Might Clean It Up A Little.

This isn't a very good reason to spend several hundred dollars on new stuff when a rebuild kit is about $40.
