I've got the pre-welded spreader-bar and have (finally) got my blower installed. I found that if I mount the bar to the "front" tabs, I clear the blower belt and still have room for the radiator (although I'm going to have to go to a pusher type fan set-up in front of the radiator).
My question is: what is the distance between the two tabs on the mounting brackets? 2" ? I'm away from home for a bit, and would like to build a couple of spacers to fill the gap.
The bar doesn't mount to one set of tabs or the other, it mounts between them, otherwise it could flex. Check out my pic:
I imagine this setup would clear a blower drive and I still have plenty of room for dual Spal puller fans and my BeCool radiator.

I know how it is supposed to fit; that's the way I had it BEFORE I installed the blower. With my pulley set-up, I need to move the bar forward. If I mount it to the front tab (along with the bushings and a 5" grade 8 bolt), I have the clearence I need. I want to now "fill the gap" between the two tabs that was occupied by the rod ends and bushings. I'm away from my car, so just need the measurement between the tabs.
The meassure on my uninstalled set is 1.75 inches inside of the bars, as welded by VBP....this is FINISHED...of little consequence upon install....they are painted black...
