5.42 @ 127.7
Took my 63 back out to Irwindale tonight and made the best passes yet. I went a 5.89 at 117 in the 1/8 on the motor and a 5.42 @ 127.7 with nitrous off the transbrake. I held the gas pedal to the floor with the nitrous flowing and the transbrake holding it back. When I released the transbrake it yanked the front wheels about 12" and carried them for about 20 feet. The 60' was a 1.204.
I am buying a digital video camera next week so I will be able to post videos soon.
WHOA!...you made 127 with NOX in 1/8th of a mile??!!!??
whew...I hope your insurance covers chiropractors, that's gotta snap the ole' neck...huh?
Yes...video please...

My bud has the N2O wired into the transbrake button. So upon release of the transbrake his first stage of 125 hp hits. Upon shifting to second brings in an additional 250 shot for 375 total.
The other thing. When I first went dragster racing we went through a couple of trannies until we got smart enough to understand multi stage rev limiters. One for the burn out and one for the stagged while floored on the transbrake and of course the rev limiter was on at redline or when the rpm activated air shifter fired.
I don't know what class you intend to run. but if it's quick 16 brackets, think about investing in the multistage rev limiter and rpm activated air shifter.
Carrying the front tires for the first time must have been a thrill.

George, I gotta tell you I have no desire to run any classes. I do not like bracket racing. I just want to go fast and have fun. I have a two step and air shifter, but do not use either.
John,
Didn't you have neck surgery a year or so ago? I believe I offered then-and it still stands, I will drive the car for you. No need aggravating an old injury for something so foolish as to go fast. Who in their right mind would do such a thing? Afterall I KNOW I'm not in my right mind, so it's just kind of expected of me. Glad to see things working out. BTW did you leave on the gas?
I totally agree that running on test and tune days beats sweating in the staging lanes. although I did like quick 16 or quick 8 bracket racing. Because it was serious people going ***** out without throttle stops and delay boxes. 8.90 Super comp just sucked when 80 people would show up at a national event and everybody was running within a few .000's of perfect with the track time adjustments.

Ha, Ha, Ya, I had surgery in June, neck feels pretty good though. I left on the squeeze. In fact I had it flowing before the light even turned green, that is why it launched so hard.
George,
A race car should not have anything on it that makes it go slower other than a parachute and brakes. I HATE throttle stops.
