I installed my Muncie 4-speed back it my car yesterday and was just checking some stuff and found that the clutch is not disengaging while the pedal is pushed. The clutch didn’t feel the same as before so upon further checks we found that it wasn’t working. I checked the adjustment and it looked good. The transmission went on OK so I don’t think anything is binding. Everything looks OK. I am going to pull it back out but wanted to see what you fellow think before that. I am using the same clutch assembly (only 5K on it).

Perhaps the clutch disk went in backwards or is sticking on the spline..

Hummmmmm I didn't think of that. I pretty sure I put it in properly but I've been known to do bone head things in the past. I've never put the disk in bacwards, would this cause my problem?
Thanks
John
TTT - Sorry I just got my Plasma TV and HD hooked up so I hate to say it but my Vette has taken the backburner for a week. BUT I am going to try and figure this out this weekend so if anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.
THANKS
My thoughts are:
1. Check the t/o bearing. Is in installed correctly?
2. What pws69 said. Clutch plate in backwards? That would definitely jam the pressure plate.
3. Is the ball stud on the block and the other on the frame tightened and secure?
