GM has used Bilistein in the past for the perfomance upgraded suspension ie(1le) suspension on the camaro VB&P and most corvette retailers sell them with there suspension packages something to that? (just got a set of I believe the HD with my max performance package not installed but thread is got my undivided attention! )
Which shock would be considered the best as far as performance between Bilstin Sport, Koni, and Mid America's RCSI's?
I am not sure what the answer is but the Bilstein Sports are too hard for me for a street car. If you decide on the Sports let me know. I have a set less than 2mos/300 miles that will be for sale.
I have the Bilsteins with 550 springs front and put a 9 leaf in the rear to replace a very tired original 7 leaf. I like them and would make the same purchase decision again. Tires/rims will have a big impact on ride quality as well - currently I have 245/15's on but will move to 17 front and 18 rear which will make for a much stiffer ride.
I have Bilstein HDs with 550 lbs front springs and the 9-leaf rear spring. The front is great, the rear will be "upgraded" with the 7-leaf spring because it's a little soft.
It's not uncomfortable at all but the shocks can handle the 550lbs springs a lot better than the KYBs that I had before.
