Dynomax Cerama-Coat. About $200 at Jegs or Summit. I had a local muffler shop bend me a 2-1/2" custom dual exhaust.
Not only did it wake up my stock L-48, I saw my mileage improve from 15 mpg highwy to 18-19 mpg. Can't get much better than that. One of the best mods I ever did before I started the more extensive stuff.
