Yes they are the long tube headers. Other then the ball on the end they are exactly like my old set. At $169 I feel they are a good deal and consumable. As for fit they seem to drop right in. Never an issue with installing them. Takes only a few minutes to get them installed with the end bolts.

Will work on it... any specific areas?

I did re-use the front stud on the drivers side for the alt bracket, but had to space it out with 3 or 4 washers, which may have thrown off the angle of the alt pulley/belt. If I have issues I will remove that stud, grind some off and re-install.

I removed the AC compressor to do the manifold removeal and install the headers and since it didn't work anyways, now is a good time to send it off to have it rebuilt.

Now I guess I'll have to modify the AC bracket that attaches to the two manifold studs and probably have to grind them down as well... but that is in the future.

I thought there was no pressure in the AC system, but when I unbolted the AC lines from the compressor it did let out a 5 second hiss. If I do rebuild the AC system I'd like to get new lines, but last I heard no-one makes them for a '72 BB Corvette. So maybe I can get a shop to put new lines onto my fittings? I do have a spare AC line that has ruptured hoses that I could use first. Doesn't look like fun to R&R that sucker though.

Unfortunatly I didn't snap any pics of them out of the car... They came painted black and I had them blasted and coated in a flat black cermaic coat locally for $259.

I'll get pics up later...

Hooker are $473 from Summit for the PN-2123HKR (1.875" and 3") (uncoated)

Will only fit manual trans, no AC cars due to equal length tube routing. I special ordered through Summit a long time ago, cost was @$330 uncoated.
