Default Need Help Bad!!!

I recently changed my valve covers. Well after i got done and put it all back togather my car wont stay at an idle. I noticed that on the front of my manifold all the way on the right there is like a black looks like a sensor cause it has a metal rod going into the engie, but anyway it broke. It has hef or something wrote on it. Would this be causing my problems? Please help and fast. Thanks

You broke something, and now you have a vacuum leak. Might be your "hef sensor", or might be something else. My car ran like crap when the PCV valve (in driver's side valve cover) wasn't tight enough, had to replace the grommet and then it was fine.

A pic would help, usually a vacuum leak will cause a high idle.

After re reading that it looks like you broke the Vacuum switch that controls the EGR valve and heat riser.
