Engine choice
Heres the engine im thinking of ordering for my 81 http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results...umber=12499529
question i have is how compatible with TPI will this engine be? If its "too much" engine, could one of you suggest something little closer to what i need. Im not making this car a racer, nor do i care alot about performance. Im just creating a weekend driver

The power peak is at 5,100 rpm, which matches tuned-port nicely..(tuned-port engines start wheezing at about 5,300). The cam specs would probably be close. The only thing that bothers me is the note at the bottom of the description that states "not for use with fuel injection". You might call them and ask about that.
