Default possible harm??

hi, it happened today that finalizing in the wrong way the fixing of the hidratech booster, something went wrong and the engine 'sucked' a little quantity of the power steering oil and burnt it making big fumes, suddenly after that i've switched it off. question: do you think there could have been a damage? i'll take the car now and will have a 50 miles drive on the higway to 'clean' it, meantime i'd appreciate some inputs and comments, thanks/Giu

Don't know what your engine set-up is or what is exactly in power steering fluid these days. Years ago we used a bit of automatic transmission fluid to "clean" out the carbon in a non-fuel injected engine. Lots of smoke for miles! Was a great prank at weddings as I recall; ah, the good old days.....

..just coming back from the highway, i've drove hard for about 50 miles, the first 4 or 5 it smoked quit a lot but after a few miles smoke disappeared, also the engine runs well, as ever, i dont really think there has been a damage, a local garage guy told me that the engine spitted away ino the headers the first oil and then the fumes was due to the oil burning along the exhaust sistem...thanks for your support, i worried so much
