Default Now what brake pad?

Recieved and installed a set of VBP Calipers on my 72, non-powerbrake car. It still has perfect stock rotors riveted on. Should I use the pads that VBP sent or is there a better pad I should change to?

thanks

What kind of driving, or more specifically, what kind of ~braking~?

Typical city/highway cruising with occasional high speed?
Drag race?
Road Race?
Auto-X?

.
There's a pad engineered for every use imaginable. And if you manage to imagine something new, several places can custom blend for you (at signifcant cost...)

Default braking

Just basic pleasure driving no hiperformance driving, it is non power brakes so stoping grip is important. I am thinking of adding power brakes

The VBP pads are a high quality organic pad and will work great for your kind of driving. Just put them on and enjoy.

Yep, organic pads (probably what the calipers were supplied with) will be perfect for you. Good initial bite. Good wet bite. VERY easy on rotors. Cheap price. No noise.

Hawk Performance Pads... they've saved me the cost of a front bumper at least once.
