Recieved and installed a set of VBP Calipers on my 72, non-powerbrake car. It still has perfect stock rotors riveted on. Should I use the pads that VBP sent or is there a better pad I should change to?

Yep, organic pads (probably what the calipers were supplied with) will be perfect for you. Good initial bite. Good wet bite. VERY easy on rotors. Cheap price. No noise.
