So I have a '72 454 4-spd and have a GMPP crate motor with an LS6 intake on it. I have a Holley carb on top and rubber hoses and brass fittings making up the fuel line for now. I obviously want to change that to hard metal line, but I suck at bending/flaring hard line.
So, can I use a fuel line off of the '68 and '69 427 engines with the single 4 barrel Holley?
Anyone have any pics or part numbers? Would it require a new fuel pump?
I'm sure there is someone in your area that can bend you a line to fit. That is what I did on my car. Just look for a parts store or auto service that can make hyd. hoses, I'm sure they will also have a tubing bender.

And bend a coat hanger into the shape I need to "model" for them?
You can try the coat hanger trick, that's what I did. That will give them an idea on the length of line that they need to start out with. I just put on a rubber line to get me to the hose shop and then they took it from there.
Hello,
I dont like the braided line look either, but for me it was the cheapest and easiest fix. It is the only braided line that I have on my car, and I bought it from my local parts store. Having read some of the threads here, the rubber line was one of the first things I wanted to change.
