71 water pump/pulley........HELP

71 water pump/pulley........HELP
I have a 71 Vette, 350 base motor(with PS and W/O air). I currently have water pump casting 3891398 and pulley PN 3991423. The assembly manual is calling for pulley PN 3890419.
The issue: the water pump has a nub on the post that is 3/4" but the pulley that the manual calls for is a 5/8" nub and smaller bolt pattern. The 3991423 that I am using is also 1/4" deeper than the one in the manual.
It works fine and aligned now, but does anyone know what is correct?
