Has anyone else had this problem????? Im using energy suspension urethane mounts on both the engine and tranny...the tranny is on a slight angle and will not line up with the bolt holes on the crossmember where the mount is, its off about 3/4 of an inch, ive tried loosening the engine mounts but still cant get enough play to move it over. Didnt have this problem before the new mounts.
Is the transmission just to one side of the holes or is the studs on the mount different widths? If it is just to one side, just use a bar to move the rear of the transmission over to allow the mount studs to drop into their holes. I purposely changed the location of mine to center the rear of the tranny in the tunnel and have less angle on the driveshaft.

As Bernie said it is common to have to pry the transmission over to get the bolt holes to align. If it is off front to back you have the wrong trany mount.
I don't agree with any of this and custom made a drivers side motor mount to overcome this misalignment problem.
Just pry the transmission over.
Have you tried turning the mount around 180 degrees?
I know that the "bolt holes"/"rubber mounting area" on my transmission mount were just slightly off center of the metal pad that bolts to the transmission. Simply turning it around solved my alignment problem.
