I had a 10 1/4 inch dual friction centerforce clutch, pressure plate and flywheel offered to me, I'm running a 71 454 with a mild cam, 10:1 compression and a M21, would this be a good match? Any advice would be appreciated.
It would likely hold a mild bigblock if it's a Dual Friction..
But.....
Is the flywheel for a externally balanced 454?
Is it the 168 tooth one so your starter will work?
If not you need to make sure your flywheel has both patterns. 10" ones have a small pattern and 11" ones have a large pattern. Unlikely you have a flywheel with both patterns and 454's used large ones.
Make sure of spline count. Older Muncies were 10 splines...later stuff went to 26 spline as did Richmonds, Nash's and Tremecs etc.
