Restoring a 1969 convertible. Car was stolen and stripped before we got it back. Does andyone have any info on the workings of the wiper valance? This was something missing and I need ifo on parts needed. This car is small block car with and will have a stock hood. Thanks in advance foe the help!
How about a picture of what you have? That way we can give you an idea of what you need. Do you have the door ("valance") and hinge stuff? How about the actuator can? I'll be happy to help.
Hi, if you could be more specific on what is missing, and also I have found that info in the Service manual, the 1968-1982 Restoration Guide and the Assembly manual (for your year) has been invaluable, (check out the Forum store, at the top of this page) I would recommend buying all three for reference and using the forum here as there is a lot of experince here to be drawn on as the help I have received from various members has been great! Good luck and welcome,
I will try and get a picture, but as far as I can tell everything is missing. Everwho stole it put a hood on it that covers all the way to the windshield. I can order a new valance but it is the workings I need help with. I will order the manuals.
You need the assembly instruction manual (AIM) for '69. Everything is there, including the original part numbers, notes on the factory installation, assembly drawings, etc.
