I got the first part of it done, need to prime and paint it tommorrow,it has a 4 inch tube welded to it underneath and going righ into the throttle body.At first i was gone to make a box and use the cowl induction to bring air into it,but i think im might do something like a 2006 z06 scoop or viper scoop so it rams the air right in.Ill make my mind up after i get all the little stuff done.Ill be ordering a K&n filter for it i just used that one for mock up to see what fit.

lol , i stole the box and fabbed up the tube thats welded to it underneath and inside it.I started making a box ,then going threw my stuff at work found this box and the air filter fit right into it.Almost the same dimensions anyway so i cut it up welded it back how i needed it and attached a 4 inch tube through it.
Pat, here is the only link I can remember which gives an idea of where the high and low pressure zones are on a moving car. You may want to take some of this into account when deciding where to put your intake scoop to get the best results. Yes it's a Citroen, but the idea is the same. Seems to me an induction scoop should be either at the cowl or the grill, but not in the typical top of the hood place, to take advantage of the high pressure zone to enhance intake air pressure.
Go down the page about 2/3 of the way.
How about 4 lbs and its 1 lb lighter then my original cold air tube so i saved 1 lb already. i smoothed the edges and painted it ,started it up works fine.

O i just saw that it was steel and thought it weighed alot. Good job.
Looking good Pat, assuming you do not need that HSR measurement any longer
Nope went a different route ,i took it out on my street yesterday feels really weird, way too smooth,im gone to have to change to a much bigger cam,it idles so smooth the wife might want to drive it now,and we cant have that.
yeah if that's the case you need a much bigger stick It sure looks awesome, very clean..as if it was meant to be like that from the factory. Are you going to weld the rad frame back up to look like stock?
or even better, make a custom piece that smoothly flows into the new filter housing. How is that housing bolted down?? or is it just sitting there? If it was part of the rad frame or bolted on somehow it would look lvery trick and custom, specifically made for it
