Rear end fluid

Do you still need an additive for a limited slip dif if you use rear end oil made for limited slip. What is a good product?

most use GM diff fluid plus the seperate additive. I know someone who uses Royal Purple synthetic that includes the additive already in.

But I have not heard anyone complain about good old GM diff fluid plus 2 bottles of additive.
