What Intake Manifold?? '78 small block????
Will a Holley Street Dominator Intake Manifold (small block) fit under the hood of a '78 stock hood L-48 Vette with a Holley Dual Feed, Vacuum Secondary 750 Carb? What aircleaner should be used? I am working on one now that we put the Holley Aluminum Head Kit on it. We are concerned that we will have hood clearance problems with it. Any comments would be appreciated.

I believe the Street Dominator is about 1.25 to 1.5 inches taller than a stock manifold, so I really doubt it would fit. But that's really a suposition, I haven't tried it.

I am guessing that it would fit. A while back I asked the same question about a Holley Strip Dominator (quite high) fitting under a stock 74 hood. Low and behold, somebody had a picture of one. From what I can recall the air cleaner was quite short which in my opinion would restrict flow but then I thought about gaining the flow back with one of those K&N filter lids.
