Oh this is not good. My motor locked up the other day and I have found a few grams of bronze colored shavings in the pan.
#7 cylinder rod bearings. So I will be down for a long while saving extra cash.
I just bought a house and money does not exist.
But hey, I wanted to detail the engine bay and paint the block and fix a few oil leaks. I now have all the time I need.
Well I will give updates as I can and when it hits the streets again it will be even faster and smoother than before.
You'r lucky is that's all that happened, just locked, I think you need tear it out ASAP and examine/get examined everything there....at least you will know where you are going with it, and it makes detailing easier too, ... :D  :cry
Sorry to hear that BT - hope it won't be down too long. At least now you can get everything redone, it will be right, and should last you awhile. (if you need extra cash, I've still got about 800 square feet of deck that needs to be replaced :chevy )
Well I wasn't redlining it at the time. I was actually slowing down when it locked up. I did get it to turn 3 revolutions more when I was sitting on the side of the road. It hurts to see the car on a flat bed.
RT: How much per square foot?
I'm good with tools :smash:
