IM getting ready to drop the radiator back in to my 81 but all the radiator/brace seals are missing. Is it a must have to install these seals? SHould i order them or just move forward?

If you don't do it now you will kick yourself later. These foam seals are what forces the air through the radiator instead of around it. Call Dr. Rebuild for good quality.
Good Luck

you need these foam pieces imho. you can fashion some foam strips for each side of the radiator from wherever you can find foam, home depot, lowe's, even a fabric material place carries foam rubber. the hard part wil be finding or making pieces that fit between the hood and the top of the radiator support in the corners.

Buy the pre cut ones. They are not that expensive and will fit the first time. It will make the car run cooler. I just replaced all mine and it was about 40 bucks for all of them even the one that seals to the hood.
