T56 swap

Has anyone done a T56 swap out of an LS1 f-body? I know Keisler is an option, but can get a used T56 for cheap. I am wondering what mods need to be done, including cutting, drivehsaft, clutch set up, etc? Thanks for any input.

I really want to make the swap to 6 speed too. If you do make the swap and need an extra hand I will gladly swing over with beer in hand.

I just cant see why it has to cost over two grand to do a conversion.

The shifter position is different, crossmember modification, drive shaft length. Lots of other things, also.
