Fuel Pump install

i am in process of installing a TPI on my 81 and have used a on the frame mounted fuel pump from a fuel injected ford truck. Should i install the filter before or after the fuel pump. Any suggestions on a part # for the filter i should use

I think you would want to protect the pump from dirt as well as protect the injectors from contaminates from the pump

The Fuel filter for an 82 is mounted next to the frame in the area below the passenger footwell. This is the area where the frame kicks upward towards the front suspention. A chevy dealer should have what you need if you tell him you need a fuel filter for an 82. The filter is about 3inches by 1.5 inches round.

is there such a thing as a similar fuel filter in an 81 such as that on a 1982 other than the carb filter?
