Default heat riser

On a 77 is there a gasket that go's between the heat riser and stock exhaust manifold? I yarded my exhaust out last fall and can't remember. Thanks

Haven't had My 77 apart but the GM parts book does not show one.
Have had both of My 79s apart, which are identical to 77s and neither
had a gasket.

Mine had the remains of what I think was a gasket on it (both sides). It equals having no gasket

My 79 has the gasket. It can be found in one of the Vette catalogs. It's like $5 plus $10 for shipping . Depending if it's 2" or 2.5", the 2.5" is readily available from the Napa's out there. I temporarily used a 2.5" gasket for my 2" EFE. It was from a '79 K-5 Blazer. It seal pretty well, but until I can do a big order and order a couple of them for future use, it'll do for now.

Good Luck
