Heat shield missing, causing problems?
Anyone running stock rams horn manifolds with out the stock heat shielding? Is it causing problems with spark plug wires melting or anything else? Most of my heat shielding is missing and I really do not want to replace it. Thinking of headers down the road but not yet.

You may need high temp plug wires if you are having a problem. Most of the quality ones will be high temp. The silicon ones won't burn or melt, but I have seen them dry & crack if permantly laid on the exhaust.
