Uuugh!! Somebody should have posted that replacing bearings and races is a pin in the butt. I must have taken and hour to tap out one spindle!!! Any way to make this easier?

Mmmmmm,, I believe there is not a couple of days goes by that somebody mentions this,,lolll but your right,, you need either a special puller or a hydraulic press to do the rear,, the front is a piece of cake.
Not sure if you researched this job or not but if you're doing the rears then you should do a c3 tech search on the subject before going much further into this job. It can become very expensive if you're not setup to do this work correctly.
when you tapped out that first spindle, did you ruin the threads? besides the spindle removal press, you may need additional tools to do the job safely / correctly.
-safety goggles
-spindle bearing puller
-spindle install tool
-spindle bearing preload set-up tool
-dial indicator and magnetic base
-a good hydraulic press and ways to improvise

Gary knows what he talking about.
I did mine but the tools can add up. Still glad I did it though.
Sorry. I should have mentioned they are for the front. I had Van Steel do my rear spindles and trailing arms. I blasted one of the front steering knuckles today. I love it when all that crap comes off and you have a beatiful pewter cast iron piece that looks like new.
