What is the advantage of a double pumper? What about vacumn or mechanical secondaries? Which is better how does it perform better?
Do the holley or demon come made for an automatic? What about the passing gear linkage?
Thanks
A double pumper is a mechanical secondary carburetor. As long as it is properly tuned it can give you full carburetor volume just off idle. If the car can put the power to the ground it will accelerate harder than a vacuum secondary carb. They also use more fuel.
I don't know about the Demon but Holley's can be used on automatics. My car had a Holley double pumper on it when I got it. I quickly went back to the stock carburetor.
