eliminating wiper doors, HELP!
I replaced the stock hood with an extended hood to eliminate the need for wiper doors on my 72. The doors are removed. Any suggestions on getting the wipers to work properly??? If I close the wiper door switch (under hood) the wiper motor runs continuously and the wipers move back and forth slightly, turning the wiper sw on in the cockpit allows the wipers to work normal but when turned off the motor is still running as indicated above. Any suggestions ??? Thanks.

Sounds like you have a grounding issue. If I remember correctly, when you remove the door you close the underhood switch. This completes a circuit on the "park" portion of the wiper motor. You have the yellow wire that is ignition switched that supplies power to the motor. Then the dash switch supplies ground to 1 or both terminals to get speeds. Sounds like you are getting ground all the time somehow.
