Default 1981 emissions label

The VECI from my '81 non-california automatic has been MIA since I got the car a few years ago. No tech manual, including the GM shop manual, has this info. They all say "refer to label under hood" (how frustrating!). I know they sell these labels at all the Vette stores, and I will probably buy one eventually. But I could really use the info now without having to pay $8 or $9 for shipping a $13 sticker! If some kind soul could have mercy and post this info I would really appreciate it! Thank you and God bless, Sensei

Thanks for responding. I keep running into things where the label is referred to. i.e. "turn fast idle screw to obtain specified rpm on emission label", "always set timing below 900 rpm, and to specifications on the emission control information label", etc. etc. I was really hoping someone might have or make a digital photo of the label they could post. Any help would be apreciated. God bless, Sensei

I can try taking a pic of mine tonight, maybe. Not sure how the condition of mine is, though. I'm half tempted to rip it off since I don't have any emissions crap connected anyways.

I'll mark this as well. Mine's a CA model but it's probably less different that we'd care to believe. I'll try to post it on the weekend.

'81 was a 50 state car, so they're all the same.

My Vette is currently 8 miles away & my digital camera is 20 miles away in the opposite direction, so getting a pic for you isn't easy
Here's some info for an '81 auto:
ign timing is 6*BTDC with the computer wires removed from the dist (this is important so that you really are setting the base timing, not the base timing with any advance the computer is adding). There are 2 plugs connected to the dist & you need to unplu one. I can never remember what one it is, but if you unplug the wrong one then the engine won't run.
Idle speed is 600rpm with aircon off, about 700ish with it on. Can't remember if that is with the trans set in drive or not. I set mine so that I get an idle of around 600 with it in drive.
N.B. You can set the timing firther advanced to get better throttle response. I've got mine at 11*BTDC & the response is much better than it is in the stock setting. Also feels like it's got a bit more punch with it advanced. Worth doing, but I've been told max safe setting is 13*BTDC on a stockish motor.
My fast idle is about 1400rpm, but I don't know if that's the specified speed (after running for about 20 secs at this speed a blip of the throttle knocks it back to about 1000rpm until it warms up & settles into a regular idle at 600rpm). Best see what others give for the fast idle speed as I've never bothered altering mine (it works, so I'm leaving it alone!).
Hope some of this helps.

Thanks for all the help guys! I am looking forward to the picture, but in the mean time, here is another specific question: The GM service manual says to disconnect and plug vacuum lines according to the label for some adjustments. Is that right or is that just something that carried over from previous non-computer years and did not get edited out? Thanks and God bless, Sensei

There's even a P/N for the sticker under the Timing info...
