TH350 downshift cable adjustment
During rebuild of my Quadrajet I noticed the throttle body plate is cracked at the threaded hole for power brake vacuum. I was going to pull a throttle body off another Quadrajet but the location of the downshift lug on the throttle linkage is 1/4" further to the rear. Does the downshift cable have that much adjustment in it? Car is '79 L48/TH350.

I was surprised at the amount of adjustment on my 77, I pulled the clip up, hooked the linkage to the carb, mashed the peddle and poped the clip back to lock it in, I think I got almost an inch
