I buy a lot of stuff from eBay for my 1978 and see that there several different kinds of assembly manuals, one from Corvette America, one from Millenium Industries, one that just says Assembly Manual and I have seen others.
Are these all EXACTLY the same just with a different cover page? Is the "Assembly Manual" (like the ones above) the holy grail of Corvette books or is there a GM version that is better?
The one I got from Mid America is a reprint from the original factory GM, which is what all of them should be. The are extremely helpful for stuff like headlights, putting the dash together, vacuum systems, etc, just make sure you get the proper year.

GM licenses several vendors to reprint the original GM assembly manuals so you will see the same manual but with each vendor's front page. But they are all the same on the inside.
Some of my pages are cut off. They are printed in landscape view and I am missing some of the part where the 3 holes are punched. Only on a few pages. I think it's the way the vendor copied the pages. I got it a long time ago so I can't remember which vendor but I know it was one of the majors (Ecklers, CC, ZIP).
Other than that, this is the book that I have "on the fender" while I'm working on my Corvette.
I have the 1978 Chevrolet Corvette/Malibu/Camaro/Monte Carlo/Nova service manual that is red and white, is this the same as the assembly manuals above? See ebay item # 8052032627 for a pic of the book.

No Service manuals are different than the AIM (Assembly Instruction Manual). The AIM is what the factory used to put the car together.
