Has anyone run across a listing of which jets/rods are used in a particular Quadrajet part number. I'm curious to know which ones should be in my 17059216 carb (79 L48 automatic)
Thanks Clem for the info. Any truth to pre 76 qudrajets offering a little better performance on my 79 L-48 or is the limitation the "smog" motor itself. I have a 7045214 that I was thinking of rebuilding and trying. If you have access to a list can you look up the rod, jet and hanger info for this one too. Is there a web site for this kind of info?
7045214 is a 1975-77 350 HD truck G20/30 carb. pri jet # 71,pri rod #39,sec rod CP with .057 tip. if you car still has the cat convertor these older carbs MAY be too rich and cause your cat convertor to stink. this info is from a GM book i have and i do not think you will find it on the net. sorry for the late reply as i was in mich for the nascar race over the weekend

Go ahead & rebuild. There is no real problem w/ the engine or carb. The main limits are the ex. & cam.
