Default Tach help!!!
could anybody help me out with the tach wiring .. from the engine bay ... to the hei .. what color is the wire .. and is there supposed to be some kind of filter .. thanks ps 1979

the tach lead is a brown wire, the tach filter is a small can looking thing about as fat as your thumb. go to mid america or ecklers.com and type in tach filter to see, they're inexpensive.

now the tach filter is located under the dash correct.. ??

mine was mounted on the intake, near the distributor.

go here and click on schematics...it's for an '80 but should be damn close....

book mark it, this guy did some good stuff and you'll likely use it more..
