Brief recap, installing rebuilt TA from VanSteel. Passenger side no problems. Drivers side, as soon as I tighten caliper rotor refuses to turn by hand. I am thinking either bent caliper bracket or spindle not seated on bearing all the way. Whats your opinion
Passenger side bracket
Drivers side
from what I can see there is atleast 3/64 difference
Also noted the distance from E-brake pads to rotor, passenger side closer to pads than drivers side.
Plus 5 of these were holding on the rotor on the drivers side. Are these not thread die's??
it's going to be hard to determine what's wrong through pics. you may have to disassemble to get a better idea. did you purchase the arms complete with bearings and rotors? can you add some washers between the caliper and mount bracket to center the caliper just to see if the binding goes away? those do look like thread dies to me
*adding washers would bring caliper inwards...please disregard

Reason: brain fart
I would guess the bearing is suspect. I would try to re-seat it. Keep in mind that there is supposed to be slight resistance on the pad. Does it not turn at all? Also, those do look like dies to me. Did the other side have them?
Good luck and keep us posted!
I purchased an assembled unit from Vansteel, did no assembly myself other that throw them on the car. It is the outside pad that is binding, piston is fully compressed when caliper is tight, washers will not work in this cast.
