Default 79' L82 Smog pump

I'm in the process of taking some parts out of the engine compartment to repaint ...valve covers, intake, brackets, etc ....and took the smog pump off ....I'd really like to keep it out and plug the stuff it was hooked too....will it effect anything if I do and what other then plugging the holes should I look for ...thanks

If you can do it legally, go all the way, pump, egr, canister vacuum lines, ALL OF IT! You will be able to see the motor, get to your plugs. My EGR was bad, causing my motor to smoke. Pulled it off and the smoke cleared out.

The canister under your left fender, not your vacuum canister. Screw the greenhouse gasses!
