I'm looking for a good baseline setting to work from on my 4 barrel. Does about 2 turns out on the high speed sound good? Then go from there.

start with ignition. Set that correctly....36 total timing all in by 2500 RPM. Then go after the car based on that.

High speed what?? Two turns on the idle mixture screws is about right to start from. Fast idle is set with a tach with the screw on the highest step of the cam.
