common problem, relativly easy fix. That's the reason why it's a good idea to weld the channels completely, weld the mounts completely, use gussets and a spreader bar.

Gussets are welded in supports.
Spreader bar is after market equipment that
mounts between the two shock towers to reduce frame
flex in the front. See http://www.vbandp.com for spreader bar
Push it up with a floor jack might work if the bracket lays flat again.
At least fully weld up the sides ... gussets are optional.
The other ones I've seen were due to rust at the front two bolts.
like this: http://NHvette.com/ftp/in/front_gusset_09.jpg
Change the "09" in the above link to "01" through "08" to see my gusset installs.
I did mine before any problems during the body-off.
Good Luck
Excuse my crappy welds. That's a jacking plate that I made to cover the dented crossmember.
Thats looks good. thanks for the info another thing i am going to have the car towed to a local welding shop that has done a bunch of welding for me before they welded the rear end in my dads street rod when i broke lose. My next question is what all do i have to remove to get this welded.?
the suspension corner needs to be removed, apart from the upper control arm. Then clean the entire area as thorough as you can, clean clean and wipe w/ alcohol. You want it so clean you can lick the bare metal Then with a jack push everything back in place and weld it completely through.
This is gonna sound stupid but is it possible to put large toggle bolts in the channel into the crossmember to get it in the right spot so i can drive it to the welding shop.

Well what is a good way to fix it i know it needs welding but i have to get it to a welding shop, and if i have to take the driver side suspension off then I wont have the wheel on it. So basiclly put i need to know can this be done with the suspension in place or am i gona have to remove it.
I noticed during my engine replacment that the driverside rear control arm mount has a cracked weld. I cleaned it up and re-welded it. Yours looks fixable with a little work.
