Gas dripping off car

Gas dripping off car
Took car out for a spin, ran great!
Parked car, noticed has dripping by axel.
closer look, gas dripping off spare tire cover and running all over
Pulled off rubber boot on filler, and gas is all over the top of the tank
Car is running fine,so....my first assumption is the vent hose?
Do you agree or not agree?
Do I have to drop the gas tank, and if so, how hard is it to do?
Will the lines bust if they are not already when I lower it down?

vent line wont be dripping gas. Sound like to me the rubber connection lines at the fuel sender assembly is either cracked, leaking, or clamps arent tight. Either way its not a bad idea to replace these every few years anyway, and ide bet the highest % of people here never have.

I just replaced the flexible hose that connects the tank sending assy to the hard lines that run along the frame rail to the engine compartment. The hose that I replaced looked like the orig and it was badly cracked. Not a hard job really but it helps to have an extra pair of hands when you lower the tank. While you have the tank out, pull your sending/pickup assy out and clean the inside of your tank and the "sock" filter on the bottom of the pickup tube.
