Drivers side of 75 on hood drain rail. Cant tell what it is and can't match it in aftermarket catalogs. Looks like speedo cables or tach cables come into and out of it. Haven't traced cables all the way back.

Cruise control?

Was it GM stock option, or aftermarket? I didn't see it in AIM or Shop Manual.

Know where I can get info on it?

I don't think cruise was available until 77. Looks like an old aftermarket piece. Look for a logo or manufacturers name on the unit. Then google it.

Big G is right, no cruise in '75. You can see the aftermarket wire connectors. Someone added this to the car.

don't forget to remove the cruise control servo that is attached to the throttle linkage (it should be located topside of engine, kind of behind the carb)

That's a power adder, when you're doing 50 the gizmo takes the speedo cabel input and mutiplies it by 1,5 ... instant power increase verifiable off the speedo

Thanks all, I believe I found its real purpose. . .

From the previous E-mails it must be a BS attractor as I am feeling the love from this forum.

Thanks for the chuckles. I needed them after my shroud replacement this weekend.

Best to all!!
