Default What color Gold is this ?

I'm in the midst of dressing up the engine compartment of my 71 Stingray. Some of the items, like the brake booster, vacuum canister, headlight canisters are painted a flat gold. I've noticed that alot of the vettes have this same gold color that people have used. Is it a certain code of gold or just as simple as flat gold that you can pickup at any auto parts store ?

Just Curious - any help is appreciated.

I think you find that those parts are gold cadmium plated, not painted.

Cadmium plate is correct, but it sounds like a prevous owner may have been playing with spray can gold.

Mike,
The paint is available but it won't hold up on the master cylinder cover. It can't withstand brake fluid or the mechanical contact of the bails.
