New to the forum, but glad to have found it-great source of info!
Just bought a 69 427 w/ tripower carbs. My question is the terminology/ function of the three rubber hoses that link the three carbs together? In pictures on the web I've seen, they attach to the passenger side of each carb and all meet at a T, and usually have a white stripe? On mine, these hoses have been removed and plugged. Are they emission only, or do they affect the operation of the carbs? Also, in mid-america or corvette america, what is the part terminology to order?
Thanks for the help

They are critical for the correct operation of the end carbs. Progressive style carb linkage will mess the system up because the center carb is the only one with a pump in it. The operation of the vacuum works as necessary for the end carbs and only on demand. Just go get some new hoses at any auto parts store, the white stripe is only for purests.
